I’m Adriana Jones, an engineer, cybersecurity advocate, and proud survivor who has transformed pain into purpose. As the 2024 Women in Security Award winner, a wife, a mother, and a relentless protector of children, I’ve dedicated my life to building safer digital and physical spaces for the next generation.

My journey began in Guatemala, where I became the first woman in my intake to graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2016. After relocating to Australia, I pursued advanced diplomas in Leadership & Ministry (2017–2019) and Project Management (2022), equipping myself with the tools to lead with both strategy and heart.

In 2023, I was honored as one of just 34 women awarded a national cybersecurity scholarship by the Institute of Applied Technology. That recognition opened doors to further scholarships in Security Management Leadership and the Human Aspects of Cybersecurity, fields that align perfectly with my mission: to protect children and empower those who care for them. I’m currently completing my Master’s in Cybersecurity, deepening my expertise to lead innovative, ethical solutions in the safety tech space.

As a survivor of child sexual abuse, I understand firsthand how online threats can become real life dangers. That’s why I founded The Innocent Souls Project (The Innocent Souls Project, TISP), a movement born from conviction, compassion, and a belief that technology can be built to protect, not exploit. Through tailored training and awareness programs, I help parents, educators, and childcare providers bridge the gap between digital and physical safety. My approach makes cybersecurity simple, practical, and even fun to learn.

Whether I’m designing tools powered by AI, leading workshops, or writing educational materials for families, my goal is clear: to equip every adult with the confidence to recognize risks, respond wisely, and create environments where children can thrive, online and offline.

Because protecting children isn’t just a profession. It’s my purpose.
